Overall my experience has been good, but more online options regarding prescriptions such as EPS would be helpful. With the reduction in the pharmacy opening hours I'm less able to collect prescriptions.

It's almost impossible to get an appointment. I rang this morning and found the receptionist condescending and unknowledgable about serious medical issues. "What seems to be the problem this morning?" I really don't want a telephone interview when it has been confirmed that I have a very serious medical condition - people die from the condition I have very quickly - and have been told that the doctor wants to do blood tests. When will these blood tests be done then? Is that a fortnight away? I'm sorry but that's yet another unacceptable and avoidable delay. I am concerned that the practice is not kept anywhere near as clean as possible. The last time I attended the woman in front of me sneezed all over the appointments screen. I guess that screen may be cleaned daily but the issue is that some 500 people will use that screen in the interim. It is not possible to have an appointment with a doctor of choice. The practice website does not include details of the complaints procedure for the practice.

I was appalled by the treatment my mother received recently when visiting your surgery for a blood test. Despite my mother informing the nurse that she needed to use a butterfly needle as my mother always has issues with blood tests, the nurse completely ignored my mother and continued to use a normal needle. Consequently, she failed to get the blood needed and gave my mother a great big bruise on her arm. She then used a butterfly needle and still failed. Had to call another nurse and pierced my mother for the third time. Whilst all this was happening, my mother was in a lot of pain due to their incompetence and started crying. They BOTH did not apologise once or offer any words of comfort even though they could see my mother was in distress. I am fully aware that this is the NHS but when did human compassion and a bit of care cost the NHS money? My mother is now traumatised and does not want to go back, even though she has to have a weekly blood test due to a very strong medication she has to take for a condition and it needs to be closely monitored. So no, i would not be recommending this surgery to anyone. I feel we have made a big mistake moving here.

Staff are always friendly and have great sense of humor, appointments can take awhile but I never go without one. Doctors are very caring, empathetic and I have never felt rushed, my usual goes the extra mile for me in making sure I get good care and the services I need for my health. Pharmacists are also accessible, helpful and polite. Overall great practice, I get very great care here.
